How It Works

1. Hopper Feeding: Powder is loaded into a main hopper. A stirring bar or agitator prevents bridging and ensures consistent flow to the augers.

2. Auger Metering: Each auger rotates via a servo motor or magnetic clutch. The screw’s pitch and speed displace a fixed volume of powder per rotation, calibrated for accuracy (±0.5–3% tolerance).

3. Container Indexing: Bottles or containers move via conveyor or rotary star-wheel. Sensors detect positioning, and pneumatic clamps hold them steady under the filling funnels.

4. Dual Filling: Both heads fill simultaneously. After dispensing, cylinders release the containers, advancing them to capping or sealing stations.

5. Cleanup and Changeover: Tool-free auger swaps allow quick adjustments for different fill weights.

This process minimizes dust and waste, often integrating with conveyors, cappers, or labeling machines for a full line.

Process Operation of Double Auger Powder Filling Machine

The incoming dry bottle is fed through the Infeed Turn Table with suitably guided on the moving conveyor belt at the required speed for feeding. There is filling head mounted on machine top plate, when bottle reaches to the first filling station, it will be held by the bottle holder. Immediately it will be sensed by the bottle sensor as soon as it gets signals from sensor magnetic clutch starts to rotate which is mounted on auger shaft. It will fill the desired amount of powder to the bottle through auger, where rotation time is previously saved in PLC control. After filling bottle moves further for next operation. The main advantage of this machine is star wheel pick up system of bottle is directly connected with Auger rotation, so till bottle get filled with powder as per set value.
