R&D Octagonal Blender

The R&D Octagonal Blender also known as a Lab Octagonal Blender or Small Octagonal Mixer is a compact, low-speed tumbling mixer designed primarily for research and development (R&D) laboratories in the pharmaceutical, food, chemical, and cosmetic industries. It’s optimized for gentle, homogeneous blending and lubrication of dry powders, granules, and crystalline materials without degrading particle structure. Unlike higher-speed mixers, its octagonal container shape allows materials to flow from multiple directions, requiring fewer rotations per minute (RPM) for efficient mixing—typically operating at 2–45 RPM.

Process Operation of Octagonal Blender Machine

The Octagonal Blender is an efficient and versatile blending machine for mixing and lubrication process of dry granules homogeneously. Two third of the volume of the Cone Blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. The Octagonal Blender Machine gives best result for granules due to very slow speed and octagonal shape of container. It is uses in application of Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical and Cosmetic products.

In Octagonal Blender the granules come from all sides due to the octagonal shape of the product container, hence requirement of blender RPM is less. Octagonal blender design suitable mainly for Crystalline & Granular type material. This type of material gets sufficient continuous movement due to their shape if container have only slow movement and will results in good quality of blending / lubrication of granules.
