Automatic Glass Bottle Washing Machine

Description

Automatic Glass Bottle Washing Machine is an industrial-grade appliance designed primarily for the beverage, dairy, food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries to efficiently clean reusable or returnable glass bottles. These machines automate the cleaning process, handling high volumes of bottles while ensuring thorough removal of contaminants, labels, residues, and foils. They are built to meet hygiene standards like GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and are constructed from durable, corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel (SS 304 or higher) to withstand harsh cleaning agents and high-pressure operations.

Working Principle of Automatic Glass Bottle Washing Machine

The bottles are loaded on the subsequent indexing part of rotating platform and are cleared in series of operations. Specially designed bottle holders are provided to hold bottles with neck diameter. The bottles are placed in an inverted position in these cup shaped holders. Spraying showers does the external cleaning of the bottles. Solenoid valves are provided to enable the regulation of wash timings, it also spraying water when bottle are stopped means ensure saving of water and sequence of various washing media to suit specific requirement.

Automatic Glass Bottle Washing Machine follows a multi-stage cycle tailored for new, returnable, or labeled bottles:

  • Pre-Washing: 1–3 initial baths or jets to remove loose debris using recycled or fresh water.

  • Soaking: Immersion in 1–4 caustic or detergent tanks to loosen labels and stubborn residues. Temperatures and chemical dosing are automatically regulated.

  • Label Removal: Dedicated extraction stations for paper, aluminum, or foil labels.

  • Detergent Jetting: High-pressure sprays (inside and outside) with alkaline solutions for deep cleaning.

  • Rinsing: 2–3 stages of recycled and final fresh water jets to neutralize and flush out residues, often with external top sprays for comprehensive coverage.

  • Drying/Sanitizing (Optional): Air drying or integrated drying modules to prepare bottles for filling.

Key Features of Automatic Glass Bottle Washing Machine

  • Compact and Efficient Design: Many models feature a small footprint with single-end or double-end configurations, incorporating soaking tanks, high-pressure jets, and rinsing stations in one unit. This minimizes space requirements and downtime while supporting energy-efficient operation, including automatic temperature, caustic concentration, and speed controls.

  • Low Maintenance and Consumptions: Equipped with self-cleaning filters, stainless steel pumps, and no complex mechanical parts in some advanced models, leading to reduced water, electricity, and detergent usage. Water recycling systems can further lower operational costs.

  • Customization Options: Available in rotary, linear, or tunnel-style formats; semi-automatic for smaller outputs or fully automatic for production lines. Integration with filling lines, crate washers, or labeling systems is common.

  • Safety and Hygiene: Includes features like automatic tank level control, IP55 electrical protection, and final self-centering sprays to eliminate caustic residuals, ensuring bottles exit in a fully sanitized condition.

FAQ for Automatic Glass Bottle Washing Machine

The machine supports high-speed operation with outputs of 60 to 100+ bottles per minute (e.g., ARBW-64 and ARBW-100 models). It handles a wide range of glass bottle sizes with diameters of 25–100 mm and heights up to 280 mm (with change parts).

  • Geneva mechanism for smooth indexing
  • Multi-stage washing (four inner + one outer + one air wash)
  • Customizable sequences and stationary nozzles
  • SS 316 contact parts for durability and easy cleaning
  • High-capacity pumps, water recycling, and portable tank stands
  • Easy loading/unloading and separate control panel for safety

Bottles are loaded and inverted. They pass through soaking in caustic solutions, high-pressure internal/external jets, multiple rinses, and final air blowing. The inverted position and precise nozzles ensure complete drainage and thorough cleaning without damaging the glass. The process is fully automated for consistency.

  • Excellent hygiene for food-grade and pharmaceutical use
  • Significant labor and water savings through automation and recycling
  • High throughput suitable for large production lines
