Low Speed Ampoule Filler

Description

Low Speed Ampoule Filler is a compact, versatile machine designed for small-scale production or laboratory use in the pharmaceutical, biotech, cosmetic, and chemical industries. It is used to fill and seal glass ampoules with liquid or, in some cases, powder, ensuring precision and compliance with cGMP standards. Its design prioritizes ease of use, minimal maintenance, and flexibility for various ampoule sizes, making it an excellent choice for startups, R&D, or low-volume production needs. For higher output, medium or high-speed fillers (e.g., four-head or eight-head models) would be more suitable.

  • Primarily used for filling and sealing open or closed glass ampoules (typically 1ml to 30ml) with injectable liquids, such as pharmaceuticals, vaccines, or cosmetic solutions.

  • Ideal for small-batch production, research and development (R&D), or pilot-scale operations where high output is not required.

  • Suitable for industries requiring sterile and accurate filling, such as pharmaceutical and biotech applications.

  • Built to meet cGMP, FDA, and EMA regulations, ensuring suitability for pharmaceutical production.

  • Often includes safety features like gas/oxygen safety valves, pressure reducers, and exhaust systems for safe operation.

  • Lower Output: Not suitable for large-scale production due to its limited speed (up to 50 ampoules/minute compared to 200–500 for high-speed models).

  • Manual Intervention: Some models may require manual loading or oversight, increasing labor compared to fully automated high-speed lines.

Working Principle of Low Speed Ampoule Filler

Machine having hopper for storing ampoules. User has to load empty ampoules on this hopper in bulk from where ampoule deliver onto moving rack one by one. In the movement over rack ampoule reaches to the filling station where filling needles fill preset volume of liquid in ampoules. Further ampoules reached to the sealing station where two burner nozzles installed in which first one is preheating nozzle and second is sealing nozzle. Rollers provided for rotation of ampoules, so evenly heating provided on all around the ampoule neck. During rotation of ampoule with nozzle gassing, the glass of ampoule get melt. Sealing clipper installed which do up & down movement above sealing unit. During down movement clipper take off excess melt part of ampoules and drop into waste glass collection box. Duly filled and packed ampoules get collected onto delivery tray of the machine.

Applications of Ampoule Filling Machine

Advantages of Low Speed Ampoule Filler

Cost-Effective: Lower initial investment compared to high-speed models, making it ideal for startups or small-scale operations.

Flexibility: Handles a range of ampoule sizes (1ml to 30ml) with minimal changeover time.

Sterility and Safety: Ensures contamination-free filling with nitrogen flushing and hermetic sealing, meeting stringent pharmaceutical standards.

Ease of Operation: Requires minimal operator intervention, with semi-automatic or fully automatic options available.

Key Features of Low Speed Ampoule Filler

  • Compact Design: Low-speed ampoule fillers are designed to occupy minimal space, making them suitable for small facilities or labs.

  • Filling Capacity: Typically handles 15 to 50 ampoules per minute, depending on the model (e.g., single-head or two-head configurations). Filling volumes range from 0.5ml to 30ml in a single dose.

  • Material Construction: Contact parts are made of high-quality stainless steel 316L to prevent contamination, while non-contact parts are often stainless steel 304, ensuring durability and compliance with cGMP standards.

  • Filling Mechanism: Operates on a volumetric piston-pump or peristaltic pump system for precise liquid dosing, with neck-centering to ensure accurate filling without spillage.

  • Sealing Process: Uses combustible gases (oxygen and LPG/propane) for flame sealing, with pre-heating and sealing stations to ensure hermetic seals that protect contents from contamination.

  • Nitrogen Flushing: Equipped with pre- and post-nitrogen flushing to maintain sterility and prevent oxidation of sensitive products.

  • No Ampoule, No Fill System: Includes sensors to stop filling if no ampoule is detected, reducing waste and ensuring operational efficiency.

  • Ease of Maintenance: Features large openings for easy cleaning and tool-free changeover for different ampoule sizes, minimizing downtime.
