A Propeller Agitator (also known as a marine propeller agitator or axial flow impeller) is a type of industrial mixer used in tanks and vessels to stir, blend, homogenize, or suspend materials in liquids.
It features a central shaft with an impeller resembling a boat or airplane propeller, typically with 3–4 curved or pitched blades. The blades create strong axial flow (pushing liquid parallel to the shaft, usually downward or upward), with some radial and tangential components for turbulence.

Limitations
It performs less effectively with high-viscosity fluids (better suited impellers include anchors or turbines) and may require baffles in the tank to prevent vortexing.
