High Speed Injectable Powder Filling Machine is a specialized piece of pharmaceutical equipment designed for the automated filling of sterile dry powders into glass vials for injectable use. These machines ensure precise dosing, maintain sterility, and integrate rubber stoppering in a monobloc setup, complying with cGMP standards. They are essential for high-volume production in cleanroom environments, minimizing contamination risks and waste while handling sensitive formulations that can’t be stored as liquids. Injectable Powder Filling Machine use vacuum-pressure systems or servo-driven mechanisms to suck and dispense powder accurately, often with in-process controls (IPC) for 100% quality checks. Output speeds typically range from 100 to 450 vials per minute (VPM), depending on the model and configuration.

The sterilized powder is stored in powder hopper is agitated by pair of mechanical agitators for maintaining consistency and uniform bulk density. The powder wheel having twelve ports which rotates at pre-determined speed below the powder hopper with practically no clearance. Powder wheel consist of Piston in each port and behind the powder wheel vacuum plate is provided. There is no clearance between powder wheel and vacuum plate due to back spring pressure. Precise volume of powder is sucked into the port of powder wheel during vacuum; according to the piston length different fill size can be achieved. The excess powder is doctored off by a doctor blade. Doctor blades can be adjusted from outside also without removing powder hopper. When powder wheel indexes further and remain in the port due to the vacuum till it reaches just vertically above the container. The time dose of Compressed air (Nitrogen Gas), sterilized low pressure air sequentially flushes out powder from the port of powder wheel in to the container one by one.
The filled containers are immediately separated on the conveyor by vial separator and moves further for stoppering operation.
The sterilized, siliconised, rubber stoppers stored in the vibrator bowl moves to vibratory bowl and stacked vertically in the rubber stopper chute. The container is hold firmly between pair or timing belt to pickup rubber stopper from exit end of the chute. Further container is passed between two pressing roller for tight fit fixing of rubber stoppers.

A High Speed Injectable Powder Filling Machine is a cGMP-compliant aseptic system designed to automatically fill sterile dry powders into glass vials for injectable products. It integrates powder filling and rubber stoppering in a monobloc setup, ensuring high precision, sterility, and efficiency in cleanroom environments. It is ideal for high-volume pharmaceutical production of antibiotics, vaccines, and other sterile powders.
The machine (Model APF 12D) offers a production output of up to 200 vials per minute. It achieves a high volumetric filling accuracy of ±2–3% (depending on powder bulk density uniformity). Fill volumes range from 200 mg to 6 grams, with support for multiple dosing systems.
Sterile powder in the hopper is agitated for uniform density. It is then vacuum-sucked into ports on a rotating powder wheel. Excess powder is removed by a doctor blade, and the precise dose is flushed into vials using compressed or nitrogen gas. Filled vials are immediately separated and rubber stoppers are inserted via a vibratory system for tight sealing.
The machine handles vial sizes from 5 ml to 250 ml. It is suitable for sterile dry injectable powders such as antibiotics, high-potency APIs, and vaccines in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. It operates effectively in Class 100 laminar airflow environments.
Key features include a “No Vial, No Filling” system to prevent powder wastage, compact GMP design, built-in rubber stoppering unit, safety clutch to avoid vial breakage, SS316L contact parts (removable for sterilization), variable speed drive, and digital production counter. Benefits include superior accuracy, minimal waste, enhanced sterility, space efficiency, and easy integration into complete filling lines.
