The blades operate at different speeds — commonly in a 3:2 ratio — and rotate in opposite directions, delivering powerful shearing, kneading, stretching, folding, and recombining actions for superior mixing results.

It features two counter-rotating Z-shaped (sigma) blades in a W-shaped trough or semi-cylindrical chamber that operate at different speeds (typically 3:2 ratio) to deliver powerful shearing, kneading, stretching, folding, and recombining actions.
The mixer uses tangential action from the Z-shaped (SIGMA) kneading blades that rotate accurately at different speeds toward each other. This transfers product from one end to the other through bulk movement, stretching, folding, dividing, recombining, shearing, and tearing. Discharge occurs via tilting the container, bottom valves, or an extrusion screw.
It is available in Stainless Steel 316/304 or Mild Steel construction with matt/mirror polish or epoxy paint finishes. Other features include manual or hydraulic discharge, optional heating/cooling jackets with insulation, tangential Z-blades for uniform mixing, PTFE shaft seals for food-grade use, minimal blade-to-trough gaps to prevent sticking, and on-demand spray or vacuum systems.
It is widely used in the Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Herbal, Ayurvedic, Biotech, Cosmetic, and Chemical industries for processing high-viscosity pastes, creams, compounds, adhesives, rubber, dyes, pigments, and more.
Models range from ASM-50 (50L working / 80L gross, 5–7.5 HP) to ASM-3000 (3000L working / 3800L gross, 100–120 HP). Power voltage can be customized to local requirements. Fill volumes are typically 40-65% of trough capacity.
Discharge is available via hand-wheel (manual) tilting, hydraulic (automatic) tilting, bottom valves, or extrusion screw. Hydraulic tilting can reach up to 180° and often includes low-speed reverse blade rotation to aid complete emptying.

Food-grade stainless steel construction, smooth polished surfaces, PTFE seals, minimal gaps to reduce product sticking, and easy-tilt designs support GMP compliance, quick cleaning, and low maintenance. Hard chrome plating on blades enhances wear resistance.
