Two Z-shaped blades rotate in opposite directions at different speeds inside a trough. This creates strong shear, stretching, folding, and kneading forces that transfer material thoroughly from one end to the other, eliminating unmixed zones.
The mixer is offered in Stainless Steel 316, Stainless Steel 304, or Mild Steel. Stainless steel versions can have matt or mirror polish finishes; mild steel receives red oxide primer plus epoxy paint.

Tangential blades meet at the edges, usually rotate at different speeds (often 3:2 ratio), and are preferred for higher-viscosity materials such as soap pastes. Overlapping blades rotate at the same speed, suit lower-viscosity materials, and provide faster interchange but less intensive kneading/shearing.
