It is essential for manufacturers of construction sealants, caulks, adhesives, and joint compounds, delivering the precise mixing needed for optimal consistency, adhesion, flexibility, weather resistance, and long-term durability of acrylic latex sealants.
Two counter-rotating Z-shaped (sigma) blades mounted in a trough-like chamber create powerful kneading, shearing, folding, and dispersive action. In the tangential design preferred for higher viscosities, the blades rotate at different speeds (typically a 3:2 ratio), transferring material from one end to the other, eliminating dead zones, and ensuring even mixing with minimal gaps between the blades and trough walls.
The mixer is available in Stainless Steel 316, Stainless Steel 304, and Mild Steel. Stainless-steel versions can be polished to matt or mirror finish as required. Mild-steel units receive one coat of red oxide primer followed by two coats of epoxy paint. PTFE shaft sealing is provided for food-grade compatibility where needed.
Models range from ASM-50 (approx. 50 L working / 80 L gross capacity) to ASM-3000 (approx. 3000 L working / 3800 L gross capacity). Motor power is available in both general and heavy-duty ratings (for example, 5–7.5 HP for the smallest model up to 100–120 HP for the largest). Voltage can be adjusted to match local power supply requirements.
Discharge can be performed manually via a hand-wheel-operated mechanism or automatically via a hydraulic tilting system for complete emptying and easier cleaning. Additional options include bottom valves or a screw extrusion system for controlled or high-volume product removal.
Yes. A jacket for heating or cooling can be fitted, complete with mineral-wool insulation and cladding. This allows steam, hot-water, or electric heating as well as circulating-water cooling to manage process temperatures and support consistent product properties.
