In the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry, maintaining impeccable cleanliness and sterility is paramount, especially for injectable products. A Multijet Ampoule Washing Machine stands out as a reliable, semi-automatic, compact, and versatile piece of pharmaceutical equipment specifically designed to clean glass ampoules and vials effectively. This advanced ampoule washer ensures full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards, making it an essential asset for injectable manufacturing facilities worldwide.
Also known as a multi-jet ampoule washer or vial washing machine, this equipment uses high-pressure multijet technology to deliver powerful, targeted sprays of water and air inside and outside the containers. It thoroughly removes dust, particles, residues, and contaminants from glass ampoules and vials, preparing them for filling, sealing, and sterilization processes.
The machine is particularly popular in small to medium-scale injectable manufacturing units due to its user-friendly design and flexibility. With interchangeable change parts, it efficiently handles a wide range of sizes: ampoules from 1ml to 20ml and glass vials from 2ml to 100ml. This adaptability eliminates the need for multiple dedicated machines, saving space and investment costs.
Ampoules are loaded in bulk onto combi tray if received in ready to dump boxes, which will have exactly same number of Ampoules and the pitch, as loading tray. Alternatively, each Ampoule/Vial has to be arranged into the tray individually. The loading tray is placed directly into the machine & the handlebar is lowered for automatic centering of washing needles into the Ampoules neck. The top cover is lowered & switch is operated for automatic sequential washing. Washing is performed from inside and outside of each individual Ampoule. Machine automatically stops after one complete washing cycle with buzzer sound and red-light indication. For removal of tray, reverse procedure is to be observed. Depending on loading & operator’s efficiency one can achieve 30 loading trays in an hour.
Multijet Ampoule and Vial Washing Machine is valued for its robust design, ease of operation (even by semi-skilled operators), and ability to deliver sterile, contaminant-free ampoules and vials, critical for pharmaceutical filling processes.

The Multijet Ampoule Washing Machine (Model AAVW 340P) is a semi-automatic, compact cGMP-compliant washer designed for thorough internal and external cleaning of glass ampoules (1ml to 20ml) and glass vials (2ml to 100ml) using interchangeable change parts. It is best suited for small to medium-scale injectable, pharmaceutical, biotech, veterinary, and cosmetic manufacturing units. The machine uses a multi-jet needle system with pressurized washing media and is easy to operate even by semi-skilled operators.
The machine supports manual loading and unloading with automatic PLC-controlled washing cycles. Output depends on the needle plate (jet holes) and operator efficiency:
It can achieve up to 100 ampoules/vials per minute (approx. 30 trays per hour) depending on container size and tray configuration.
Containers are arranged in combi trays and placed in the machine. A handlebar lowers to center the washing needles automatically. The acrylic top cover is closed, and the cycle starts via the PLC HMI panel. It performs six sequential washing stages:
Positive pressurized jets clean both inside and outside the containers. The machine stops automatically with a buzzer and indicator light after one complete cycle. Independent circuits minimize cross-contamination, and media usage is kept low due to high-pressure jets.
All contact parts with washing media are made of AISI 316L Stainless Steel, FDA-approved materials, Polycarbonate, or PP. Non-contact parts use AISI 304 Stainless Steel and engineering plastics. The machine is a complete cGMP model with smooth finishes, solenoid valve system, pressure tank for continuous media supply, and an on-line 5/10 micron filter. It comes with IQ/OQ documentation and supports optional 21 CFR Part 11 compliant PLC + HMI validation for regulatory requirements.
