• Rotary Design with Six Capping Heads: Operates in a continuous motion rotary system, where vials are fed via an infeed star wheel and conveyor. Each of the six heads simultaneously picks, applies, and seals caps using cam-operated chucks and rollers, enabling efficient high-volume production.

• Cap Feeding System: Equipped with a vibratory bowl feeder or gravity-fed chute for continuous, oriented cap supply. A fiber optic “No Cap” sensor halts the machine if caps are insufficient, preventing downtime.

• Sealing Mechanism: Utilizes a unique single roller sealing system or gradual pressure sealing (GPS) technology, where spinning rollers crimp the aluminum cap’s skirt around the vial neck. Sealing pressure is adjustable to accommodate varying cap gauges and sizes, ensuring defect-free seals without damaging vials or caps.

• Safety and Control Features:

  • “No Vial – No Capping” and “No Stopper – Machine Stop” systems use sensors to detect missing vials or stoppers, avoiding improper sealing.

  • An extraordinary safety clutch on the star wheel stops the machine during jams or overturns.

  • Digital counter tracks sealed vials; variable AC frequency drive allows speed adjustment.

• Construction and Hygiene: Made from AISI 304 stainless steel for parts contacting vials and caps, with optional Viton rollers for enhanced durability. The frame includes stainless steel cladding or acrylic safety cabinets for easy cleaning and low particle generation. All electronics, gear motors, and gearboxes are CE-certified.

• Production Capacity: Up to 180 vials per minute, depending on vial size, cap type, and product viscosity. This makes it ideal for medium- to large-scale operations.

Operational Process:

1. Stoppered vials enter via conveyor and infeed worm for precise spacing.

2. Vials transfer to the rotary turret, where caps are picked from the chute.

3. At the capping station, heads descend, apply the cap, and rollers crimp it while rotating clockwise.

4. Sealed vials exit via outfeed star wheel to the discharge conveyor.

5. Optional infeed/outfeed rejection systems remove defective vials.

Process Operation of  Vial Cap Sealing Machine

Duly Stoppered vials are continuously fed from the convetor of filling machine to the flat conveyor belt of sealing machine and move further through infeed worm for correct spacing and transferred to the infeed starwheel. Aluminium caps kept in vibratory bowl automatically orient caps in right direction before entering the delivery chute. Vial during its rotation movement with infeed starwheel picks up aluminum seal from the retaining finger of delivery chute and correctly position on the vial before entering sealing turret. Vial now moves on the spring loaded sealing platform, where free spinning sealing rollers moves gradually inside to complete the sealing operation during rotational movement of sealing platform turret. Now sealed vials are transferred to exit starwheel pocket and further moves out on to the flat conveyor belt. Duly sealed vials are collected on out-feed collection tray.
