Pharmaceutical Glass Vial Washer (also called a vial washing machine or sterilizing washer) is a specialized piece of equipment used in pharmaceutical manufacturing to clean and depyrogenate (remove pyrogens/endotoxins) glass vials before they are filled with injectable drugs, vaccines, or biologics. Glass Vial Washer are critical for meeting strict regulatory requirements. The primary goal is to remove particulates, fibers, residues, microorganisms, and contaminants from new or recycled glass vials. This ensures low bioburden levels, prevents contamination of the final product, and helps meet stringent regulatory requirements (cGMP, FDA, WHO, USP). Clean vials are essential for maintaining sterility assurance in parenteral (injectable) manufacturing.

Vials pushed from in feed tray and then move on wire woven conveyor belt, which align the vial in correct position, to enter in to the carrier pocket with help of oscillating guide rails. Oscillating arm deliver the vial inside pocket in mouth down position over spraying nozzles. Multijet sprayers fixed at the top cause the total external and internal surface to be washed. To avoid any possible cross contamination between two different waters, each washing station is provided with an independent circuit. Carrier pocket is moving with indexing motion. When the baskets have completed their motion the needles are lifted. They penetrate the vials, spraying jets of water or compressed air then return down. The baskets movement then advances by one station. Each station of vials passes through the washing cycles selected. The duly washed vials then delivered to the out feed tray with neck opening upward and then automatically re ordered to sterilizing tunnel with back pressure.

A Pharmaceutical Glass Vial Washer is a fully automatic vial cleaning machine used in injectable manufacturing to thoroughly wash both the internal and external surfaces of glass (and plastic) vials. It removes particulates, residues, fibers, and pyrogens to ensure vials meet stringent cGMP, FDA, and WHO cleanliness standards before they enter the depyrogenation tunnel and aseptic filling line.
We offer two standard models:
These models are suitable for medium to high-volume pharmaceutical production of injectable drugs, vaccines, and biologics.
The machine can process 2ml to 100ml glass and plastic vials. It uses a special pocket system and requires no change parts for different vial sizes, which allows quick changeover and reduces production downtime.
It performs 6 washing cycles as standard:
Each station has an independent circuit to avoid cross-contamination. Washing sequences can be customized as per requirements.
