A Single Stroke Ampoule Filling Machine is a compact, versatile piece of equipment designed for filling and sealing glass ampoules in pharmaceutical, biotech, cosmetic, and chemical industries. It operates on a single-stroke mechanism, meaning one ampoule is processed per machine cycle, making it ideal for small-scale or lab-scale production with outputs typically up to 1,800 ampoules per hour.

Key Features:

  • Operation: Empty, sterilized ampoules are loaded into an in-feed hopper and transferred to a transport rack via a star wheel. The machine performs sequential operations: pre-gassing (often with nitrogen), filling, post-gassing, pre-heating, and sealing. Filled and sealed ampoules are collected automatically in an upright position without manual handling.

  • Capacity: Suitable for filling 1ml to 25ml ampoules with a filling range of 0.5ml to 25ml in a single dose.

  • Material: Contact parts are typically made of high-quality Stainless Steel 316L, and non-contact parts use Stainless Steel 304, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards.

  • Design: Built on a stainless steel square pipe frame with a matt finish, featuring a large bottom opening for easy cleaning and maintenance. A pendant-type electrical control panel enhances operational ease and safety.

  • Nitrogen Flushing: Offers optional nitrogen gas flushing before, during, and after filling to prevent oxidation and ensure product stability.

  • Sealing: Uses oxygen and LPG (propane) for precise sealing, with rollers rotating ampoules during sealing for uniform closure. Waste glass tips are clipped and ejected into a separate container.

  • Applications: Widely used for filling injectable liquids, veterinary medicines, agro-insecticides, and cosmetic products.

Process Operation of Single Head Ampoule Filler

Empty washed & sterilized ampoules fed into in-feed hopper from the left hand side of the machine to receiving rack. The moving rack which moves horizontally collect one ampoule from the receiving rack and transfer the ampoule to the machine in left to right in an inclined position through pre-gassing. Pre-gassing, Filling, Post Gassing, Pre-heating & sealing stations completes filling & sealing operations. Filled & sealed ampoules are collected automatically in SS tray in upright position without hand touch.

The machine performs the following operations:

  • Ampoule feeding by in-feed hopper, cassettes and ampoule transfer into transport rack.

  • One ampoule advanced per machine stroke.

  • Centering of ampoules necks during pre-heating, post heating, gas flushing and liquid filling.

  • Rotation of ampoules neck in the pre- heating and heating station.

  • Elimination of burdened-off ampoule tips by clippers and ejection into a separate container.
