Liquid Oral Manufacturing Plant also commonly referred to as a Syrup Manufacturing Plant or Oral Liquid Processing Plant, is specialized equipment used primarily in the pharmaceutical industry to produce liquid oral formulations such as syrups, elixirs, suspensions, solutions, and other water-based medications like cough syrups, expectorants, and antacids. These plants are designed to ensure high-quality production by minimizing manual handling of liquids, optimizing cleanliness, and adhering to strict regulatory standards like cGMP and ASME BPE. These systems focus on two key factors that impact product quality: effective control of sugar and water processing, and automated material transfers via vacuum or pumps to reduce contamination risks. They are fabricated using high-grade materials like SS316L stainless steel for corrosion resistance and durability, with features like jacketed vessels for precise heating/cooling and food-grade silicone gaskets.

A Liquid Oral Manufacturing Plant (also known as Oral Liquid Processing Plant or Syrup Manufacturing Plant) is specialized equipment used primarily in the pharmaceutical industry to produce liquid oral formulations such as syrups, suspensions, elixirs, solutions, cough syrups, and antacids. It ensures high-quality, hygienic production with minimal manual handling while complying with cGMP standards.
Key features include low manpower operation (one operator + one helper), SS 304/316 contact parts with mirror finish and tri-clover joints, cGMP-compliant paint-free vessels, food-grade gaskets, CIP/SIP capability, vacuum or pump transfers, jacketed vessels for heating/cooling, high-speed stirrers/emulsifiers, digital/PLC controls, and sterilizable equipment. Batch sizes range from 10 to 10,000 liters.
The closed-circuit process involves loading sugar and water into a jacketed Sugar Syrup Vessel (with high-speed stirring and heating), filtering, transferring to the Manufacturing Vessel (with optional homogenization), and then to a Storage Vessel via pumps. The final product feeds directly into filling machines. The system supports two or more batches per shift.
These plants are widely used in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Ayurvedic, Herbal, Nutraceutical, and Cosmetic industries for producing various oral liquid medications and formulations requiring precise sugar/water processing and high hygiene standards.
Benefits include regulatory compliance, high efficiency, reduced contamination risk, easy cleaning/validation, versatility for different formulations, and cost-effective operation. Main components are Sugar Syrup Vessel, Filter Press, Manufacturing Vessel, Storage Vessel, Transfer Pumps, Piping, Working Platform, and Control Panel.
