An Automatic Ampoule Vial Labeler is a precision-engineered pharmaceutical packaging machine designed for fast, accurate application of self-adhesive labels on small cylindrical and unstable containers. This advanced vial labeling machine efficiently handles ampoules, vials, syringes, test tubes, and other round-bottom items that are difficult to label manually.
Ideal for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and cosmetics industries, these machines ensure 100% compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards while minimizing the risk of container breakage. By fully automating the labeling process, an automatic ampoule vial labeler significantly boosts production efficiency, reduces labor costs, and delivers consistent, high-quality results.
Most models support labeling speeds of 200 to 400 containers per minute, depending on label size and container diameter, making them perfect for medium to high-volume production lines.
Ampoules are loaded onto infeed hopper of the machine from where it is delivered to the feedworm. Feed worm rotates ampoule and during its operation transfer the ampoules to the Starwheel. The Starhweel is having rollers of same diameter as of ampoule body diameter. Starwheel transfer ampoules to the labeling station where ampoule picks label one by one and further moves towards pressing unit. Pressing Unit equipped with rubber belt for proper placing the labels. During movement of ampoules from pressing belt ampoules get labeled.
Duly labeled ampoules get collected on Outfeed Collection Tray for further operation. In case of printing unit opted labels will be printed with printing device before applying onto ampoules. There are encoders installed which sense gap between two labels and accordingly provide signals to print data onto labels.

The machine is designed for small cylindrical and unstable containers, including vials, syringes, test tubes, and other round-bottom items. It accommodates ampoules with diameters of 10–18 mm and heights of 50–105 mm, making it suitable for fragile glass or plastic items that are difficult to label manually.
This safety feature ensures that labels are only dispensed when an ampoule or vial is properly positioned at the labeling station. It prevents label wastage and maintains consistent operation, especially useful during high-speed runs or when integrating with automated feeding systems like hoppers or conveyors.
The models vary as follows:
Yes. An optional printing device (such as for batch no., manufacturing/expiry dates) can be integrated. Encoders detect label gaps and synchronize printing before labels are applied, supporting compliance with regulatory markings on pharmaceutical products.
It supports flexible infeed methods, including a hopper for individual operation or a wire mesh conveyor for fully automatic feeding. This allows seamless integration into existing production lines while gently handling delicate containers to minimize breakage.
The machine uses servo motors, high-resolution sensors, a star wheel with precise rollers, and a secondary pressing unit with a rubber belt. This combination delivers accurate, bubble-free, and wrinkle-free label placement, typically with high precision suitable for GMP-regulated environments.
Absolutely. Its compact GMP design, PLC with touchscreen HMI, variable frequency drive for speed control, and options for vision systems or rejection mechanisms make it easy to integrate with upstream/downstream equipment like turntables, fillers, or cappers.
On-demand options include a missing label sensor, camera-based vision systems for print and barcode verification, and pneumatic rejection mechanisms. These help ensure 100% label accuracy and regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical and biotech production.
Three models are available—AASL-120 (up to 120/min), AASL-300 (up to 300/min), and AASL-600 (up to 600/min)—allowing users to match throughput to their needs, from medium-volume to high-speed sterile injectable lines, while maintaining efficiency and low labor costs.
It is ideal for the pharmaceutical, biotech, nutraceutical, herbal/Ayurvedic, cosmetic, and chemical industries. Its gentle handling of small/unstable containers, GMP compliance, high accuracy, and automation reduce breakage, errors, and costs while ensuring traceability for sterile and high-volume packaging.
