  • Pre-Compression: The lower punch rises slightly to level the fill and expel excess air, preventing defects like capping or lamination.

 

  • Main Compression:
    • Hydraulic fluid (often oil) is pressurized by a pump.
    • This force drives the upper and lower punches into the die, compressing the material at 100-1200 tons of pressure (adjustable based on material).
    • The punches shape the tablet.

 

  • Ejection: The lower punch rises fully to push the tablet out. A take-off blade or chute directs it to a collection bin.

 

  • Cycle Repeat: In automatic models, this runs continuously; manual versions require operator input.

Working Principle of Hydraulic Punch Tablet Press Machine
