

Tablet Coating Machine is specialized pharmaceutical equipment used to apply a thin, uniform polymer-based or sugar-based coating onto compressed tablets. The coating serves multiple purposes: protecting the active ingredient, masking taste/odor, controlling drug release (e.g., enteric or sustained release), improving appearance, and enhancing swallowability. In order to prevent heartburn, coating machines have an interlocking electrical circuit that only activates the heaters when the blower is turned “on.” To prevent the accumulation of dirt or contaminated medication, the coating SS Pan Mouth ring is soldered at its rim cavities. Standard equipment includes an induction motor, a helical gearbox, and all electrical controls from reputable manufacturers. On-demand thermostat control is available. The coating round pot in the machine is rotated on variable speeds and the coating material is sprayed by the spraying system provided in the machine. The spraying process is always in line with the technological requirements and protocols in place. The coating round pot rotates and the hot air blower system of the machine supplies hot air at the same time. As a result the surface of medicines gets dried with an even coating. The machine works by rotating a coating pan at variable speeds while tablets (loaded at 50–80% fill volume) tumble inside. A spraying system (often with a peristaltic pump) applies the coating solution in controlled pulses. Simultaneously, a hot air blower system supplies heated air (typically 50–80°C) to dry the coating evenly. The process includes pre-heating, spraying, drying, optional curing, and unloading stages for a smooth, uniform finish.
Key features include a compact GMP-compliant design, sanitary stainless steel pan with welded baffles for excellent tablet rolling, adjustable pan angle, interchangeable pans for different capacities, optional spraying system with peristaltic pump, quick-adjust spray guns, exhaust blower, and advanced options like PLC/HMI controls and IQ/OQ documentation. Safety features include interlocked heaters that activate only when the blower is on.
