Working Principle of Automatic Ampoule Sticker Labeling Machine

Ampoules are loaded onto infeed hopper of the machine from where it is delivered to the feedworm. Feed worm rotates ampoule and during its operation transfer the ampoules to the Starwheel. The Starhweel is having rollers of same diameter as of ampoule body diameter. Starwheel transfer ampoules to the labeling station where ampoule picks label one by one and further moves towards pressing unit. Pressing Unit equipped with rubber belt for proper placing the labels. During movement of ampoules from pressing belt ampoules get labeled.

 

Duly labeled ampoules get collected on Outfeed Collection Tray for further operation. In case of printing unit opted labels will be printed with printing device before applying onto ampoules. There are encoders installed which sense gap between two labels and accordingly provide signals to print data onto labels.

  • Infeed: Ampoules are loaded into an infeed hopper or tray, then oriented vertically and fed via a screw or worm mechanism to a rotary star wheel or conveyor.

 

  • Label Dispensing: As the ampoule reaches the labeling station, a sensor triggers the release of a pre-cut sticker from a roll. The label is peeled and applied circumferentially or partially using a rubberized pressing roller.

 

  • Wrapping and Pressing: A secondary pressing unit ensures wrinkle-free adhesion. The process is synchronized to handle unstable, round-bottom ampoules without tipping.

 

  • Outfeed: Labeled ampoules are ejected to an outfeed tray or conveyor for collection, with speed indicators and counters tracking output.

 

  • Error Handling: If issues like missing labels or misalignment occur, the machine halts with visual/audible alerts on the HMI.

 

The machine’s horizontal or vertical rotary design (depending on model) ensures stability for non-standing containers like ampoules, preventing breakage during high-speed operation.
