Step-by-Step Cycle Phases

 

  • Phase 1: Conditioning (Warm & Humid Exposure) The load is conditioned in a heated, moisture-rich environment for approximately 12 hours. Operational parameters are strictly held at 55°C and 70% relative humidity (RH) to ensure uniform climate distribution.
  • Phase 2: Gas Injection & Exposure A vacuum is drawn within the chamber prior to introducing the ethylene oxide gas. The items are exposed to the sterilant for a duration of 4 to 8 hours under the previously established temperature and RH conditions.
  • Phase 3: Evacuation & Gas Clearance A continuous vacuum is applied to extract residual EtO gas, followed by the controlled introduction of fresh air to thoroughly purge the chamber. This evacuation and aeration phase runs for roughly 8 to 12 hours.
