Materials are loaded into the drum. The motor-driven gearbox rotates the container slowly, causing the contents to tumble and spread via gravity and baffles. This creates a cascading motion for thorough homogenization without excessive heat or shear, suitable for sensitive chemical formulations. It differs from other blenders (e.g., V-blenders or double-cone) by handling larger volumes more efficiently in a compact footprint with lower energy use.

Working Principle of Chemical Octagonal Blender

The Octagonal Blender is an efficient and versatile blending machine for mixing and lubrication process of dry granules homogeneously. Two third of the volume of the Cone Blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. The Octagonal Blender Machine gives best result for granules due to very slow speed and octagonal shape of container. It is uses in application of Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical and Cosmetic products.

 

In Octagonal Blender the granules come from all sides due to the octagonal shape of the product container, hence requirement of blender RPM is less. Octagonal blender design suitable mainly for Crystalline & Granular type material. This type of material gets sufficient continuous movement due to their shape if container have only slow movement and will results in good quality of blending / lubrication of granules.

  • Capacity and Operation: Available in batch sizes from 25 kg to 10,000 kg or more, it operates at low RPM to gently tumble materials, achieving uniform mixing in 5–20 minutes. About two-thirds of the container volume is filled for optimal results, leaving space for material movement.
