Working Principle of GMP Octagonal Blender

The Octagonal Blender is an efficient and versatile blending machine for mixing and lubrication process of dry granules homogeneously. Two third of the volume of the Cone Blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. The Octagonal Blender Machine gives best result for granules due to very slow speed and octagonal shape of container. It is uses in application of Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical and Cosmetic products.

 

In Octagonal Blender the granules come from all sides due to the octagonal shape of the product container, hence requirement of blender RPM is less. Octagonal blender design suitable mainly for Crystalline & Granular type material. This type of material gets sufficient continuous movement due to their shape if container have only slow movement and will results in good quality of blending / lubrication of granules.

The blender features an octagonal-shaped container that rotates slowly on a horizontal axis. Due to its unique geometry, materials tumble and cascade continuously from all eight sides, achieving excellent homogeneity even at low RPM. The container is typically filled to about two-thirds (65–70%) of its gross volume. Optional internal baffles further enhance mixing uniformity for granules and powders.
