The Small Scale Multi Mill combines impact, shear, and sieving in a single unit. Material is fed into the hopper, entering the milling chamber where high-speed blades strike and shear it against the chamber walls and screen. Smaller particles pass through the screen’s apertures, while larger ones are recirculated for further milling. This top-down process ensures a uniform PSD, controlled by blade type, rotor speed, and screen size. The cycle typically takes 5-10 minutes per batch.

It is used for granulating, pulverizing, milling, shredding, and sieving both wet and dry materials. It is ideal for Pharmaceutical, Ayurvedic, Herbal, Nutraceutical, Biotech, Cosmetic, Food, and Chemical industries to achieve uniform particle size distribution (PSD) for APIs, excipients, and herbal powders in small batches (typically 1–50 kg).
Material is fed through the stainless steel hopper into the milling chamber. A high-speed rotor (750–3000 RPM) with 12 beaters (knife & impact edges) and 2 scrapper blades subjects the material to impact, shearing, cutting, and attrition forces. The processed particles pass through interchangeable perforated screens (0.5 mm to 12 mm). Oversized particles continue to be milled until they achieve the desired size. The rotor direction is reversible for optimized performance.
