Working Principle of Heavy Duty Multi Mill

The Heavy Duty Multi Mill operates on the principle of variable force swing beaters with both knife and impact edges rotating at high speed within a selected perforated screen. This enables efficient size reduction, granulation, pulverization, mixing, shredding, and chopping of a wide range of wet and dry materials.

 

Step-by-Step Process:

 

  • Material Feeding The raw material is fed through the stainless steel hopper (with slide plate for feed rate control) into the milling/processing chamber.

 

  • Size Reduction Inside the chamber, a high-speed rotor fitted with 12 beaters (knife/impact edges) and 2 scrapper blades rotates rapidly (typically 750 to 3000 RPM). The swinging beaters subject the material to impact, shearing, cutting, and attrition forces.
    • Knife edges are used for cutting and slicing.
    • Impact edges (hammer action) are used for crushing and pulverizing.

 

  • Screening & Particle Separation The processed material is thrown towards the periphery and passes through the interchangeable perforated screen (available in sizes from 0.5 mm to 12 mm). Only particles that reach the desired size exit the screen radially and tangentially. Oversized particles continue to be processed until they pass through.

 

  • Discharge The finely reduced material is collected in a container or bin placed below the discharge hopper.
