Horizontal Filter Press

Under positive pressure, liquid slurry is introduced into the machine and flows downward through the side openings of the filter plates. The filter media traps solid particles while clear filtrate passes through a central channel formed by interlocking pressure cups connected to the outlet. Filtration continues until the cake capacity reaches saturation or the flow rate drops significantly due to increased resistance.

The horizontal orientation counters gravitational issues common in vertical systems (such as uneven cake cracking or premature media sagging). This results in more uniform cake thickness, improved cake stability, minimized contamination risk, better washing capabilities, and higher overall separation efficiency with exceptional filtrate clarity.

All product-contact parts are fabricated from stainless steel grades SS 304, SS 316, or SS 316L. Contact surfaces feature a superior high-degree finish for hygiene, durability, and compliance with demanding process requirements. The system also includes standard accessories such as a pressure gauge, safety valve, and air vent.

The filter press is available with plate diameters of 4, 8, 14, 18, 24, and 33 inches. Different configurations offer varying numbers of plates, filtering areas, cake-holding capacities, and outputs (ranging from a few hundred to over 20,000 LPH depending on the model). Power voltage can be adjusted to meet customer requirements.
