It is specifically engineered for thorough kneading and blending of sticky gum bases used in bubble gum and chewing gum production, ensuring uniform texture and homogeneity in every batch.
It excels at mixing high-viscosity, sticky, and dough-like substances such as gum bases for bubble gum and chewing gum. It is also suitable for other confectionery products and high-viscosity materials commonly handled in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, and chemical industries.
Salient features include construction in Stainless Steel 316/304 or Mild Steel, optional jacket for heating/cooling with mineral wool insulation, tangential Z-shaped blades for uniform mixing, PTFE shaft seals for food-grade compatibility, minimal blade-to-trough gaps to prevent sticking, and manual or hydraulic discharge options. Additional options include spray and vacuum systems.
It uses the tangential action of counter-rotating Z-shaped (sigma) blades that rotate at different speeds (typically 3:2 ratio). This creates intensive shearing, folding, stretching, dividing, and recombining motions for thorough homogenization. Discharge is achieved by tilting the container, bottom valves, or an extrusion screw.
Models range from ASM-50 (50L working capacity) to ASM-3000 (3000L working capacity), with corresponding gross capacities and motor options from 5 HP up to 120 HP (general and heavy-duty variants). Power voltage can be customized to meet customer requirements.
Discharge options include hand-wheel (manual) or hydraulic (automatic) tilting. It can be equipped with a jacket for heating or cooling applications, along with mineral wool insulation and cladding for precise temperature control during processing of viscous gum bases.
