This consistent mixture is essential for downstream processes such as plodding, extrusion, cutting, and stamping, resulting in detergent cakes with better solubility, longer shelf life, and superior cleaning performance.
Models range from ASM-5 (approx. 5 liters working / 8 liters gross) to ASM-100 (approx. 100 liters working / 150 liters gross), with intermediate sizes of 10 L, 20 L, 50 L, and 75 L. Capacities align with the 5-kgs to 100-kgs range indicated in the product title (approximate conversion depending on material density). Motor options include general-duty and heavy-duty ratings matched to each size.
The machine is fabricated from Mild Steel (MS), SS 304, or SS 316. MS versions receive a rust-inhibiting red-oxide primer followed by a dual-layer epoxy paint finish. Stainless-steel surfaces can be supplied in low-sheen matte or high-reflectivity mirror polish as required.
Two counter-rotating ‘Z’-profile (sigma) blades produce a tangential kneading effect. Tangential blades meet side-by-side (typically at a 3:2 speed ratio) and deliver higher shear, ideal for stiff, high-viscosity detergent formulations. Overlapping blades intermesh at the same speed above the central crest, providing faster cross-transfer and a gentler action better suited to freer-flowing or lower-viscosity mixes.

Discharge options include manual hand-wheel tilting, automated hydraulic tilting, bottom-mounted outlet valves, or a lateral extrusion screw positioned beside the mixing chamber, allowing selection of the most convenient method for the production line.
An ultra-tight clearance between the blades and the inner trough walls eliminates accumulation. Resilient PTFE shaft seals provide safe, sanitary, leak-free performance compatible with food-grade or detergent applications.
While optimized for detergent cake production, the same sigma-mixer design is widely used for high-viscosity formulations in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, herbal, Ayurvedic, biotech, cosmetic, and chemical industries, as well as other dense pastes, adhesives, or elastomeric compounds.
Motors are supplied in general-duty or heavy-duty ratings (e.g., 1–1.5 HP for smaller models up to 10–15 HP for the 100-liter class). Voltage can be configured to local supply requirements.
