Bottle Vacuum Cleaning Machine

Bottle Vacuum Cleaning Machine

A Bottle Vacuum Cleaning Machine (also known as an Air Jet and Vacuum Cleaning Machine) is an industrial packaging equipment designed to remove dust, debris, and small particles from the interior of bottles, jars, or containers prior to filling. It is essential in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, cosmetics, dairy, and nutraceuticals, where contamination prevention is critical to meet GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. These machines are particularly useful for non-sterile products like dry syrups, tablets, capsules, or bulk packaging, ensuring clean glass, plastic, PET, HDPE, or LDPE containers without the need for water-based washing.

Key Features and Operation

  • Principle of Operation: Bottles are fed vertically via a conveyor or turntable into the cleaning station. Compressed air is jetted into the bottle’s neck to dislodge particles, while an integrated vacuum system immediately sucks out the loosened debris. This dual-action process (air blow + vacuum) ensures thorough cleaning without inverting the bottles, making it ideal for irregularly shaped or oversized containers where traditional rinsers might be impractical.

  • Construction: Built with stainless steel 316L contact parts for corrosion resistance and FDA compliance. Nozzles create a seal over the bottle opening for efficient air and vacuum application. Tool-less disassembly allows for easy cleaning and maintenance.

  • Automation Levels: Available in semi-automatic (operator loads bottles) or fully automatic models with conveyor integration. Configurations include 2-head, 4-head, 8-head, 12-head, or 16-head setups to handle production speeds up to 300 bottles per minute (BPM).

  • Advantages:
    • Dry cleaning process avoids moisture residue, reducing drying time and risk of microbial growth.

    • Versatile for various bottle sizes/shapes (e.g., round, amber syrup bottles) with quick changeover parts.

    • Energy-efficient, using compressed air (typically 6-8 bar) and low-power vacuum systems.

    • Compact design with safety cabinets and optional collection trays for debris.

Applications

  • Pharmaceuticals: Cleaning vials, syrup bottles, and tablet containers.

  • Food/Beverage: Pre-filling rinse for jars and bottles in dairy or distilleries.

  • Cosmetics/Personal Care: Dust removal from lotion or shampoo bottles.

Working Principle of Airjet Cleaning Machine

Containers are fed on to infeed turn table of the machine from where they are transferred on to conveyor of the machine. Once bottles reach to the Cleaning Station, proximity sensor provide pulse to the machine and pneumatic bottle stopper stops four bottles. Intermittent motion nozzles come down onto bottles. Vacuum mouth holder holds bottles firm and start air purging and vacuum suction operations. Vacuum suction unit suck impurities from the bottle. Air and vacuum both done on same time to take out impurities from the bottles. After cleaning the bottle, pneumatic bottle stopper deactivates, and bottles moves further on to conveyor for next operation.
