The R&D Octagonal Blender, also known as a Lab Octagonal Blender or Small Octagonal Mixer, is a compact, efficient, and gentle tumbling mixer specifically designed for research and development laboratories, pilot plants, and small-batch production. It is widely used in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, chemical, and cosmetic industries for homogeneous blending of dry powders, granules, and crystalline materials.

 

Unlike conventional mixers, the unique octagonal shape of the blending container creates multi-directional material flow. This design allows for excellent mixing efficiency at very low speeds (typically 2 to 45 RPM), ensuring gentle blending that preserves the original particle size and structure of sensitive ingredients.

Working Principle of R&D Octagonal Blender

The Octagonal Blender is an efficient and versatile blending machine for mixing and lubrication process of dry granules homogeneously. Two third of the volume of the Cone Blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. The Octagonal Blender Machine gives best result for granules due to very slow speed and octagonal shape of container. It is uses in application of Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical and Cosmetic products.

 

In Octagonal Blender the granules come from all sides due to the octagonal shape of the product container, hence requirement of blender RPM is less. Octagonal blender design suitable mainly for Crystalline & Granular type material. This type of material gets sufficient continuous movement due to their shape if container have only slow movement and will results in good quality of blending / lubrication of granules.
