A typical rubber belt conveyor consists of:

• The Belt: Made from durable rubber (often reinforced with fabric layers like polyester, nylon, or steel cords) for strength, flexibility, and resistance to wear.

• Pulleys (Drums): Two or more pulleys—one powered (drive pulley) and others for tensioning or redirection—that rotate the belt in an endless loop.

• Idlers/Rollers: Support the belt and load, often in trough shapes for bulk materials.

• Frame/Structure: Supports the entire system.

• Drive System: Electric motor and gearbox to power the movement.

How It Works

The belt forms a closed loop around the pulleys. When the drive pulley rotates (powered by a motor), friction moves the belt, carrying materials placed on the top surface. Rubber belts provide excellent grip, especially for irregular or small items that might slip on other surfaces.
